House Addition and Renovations

Removed half of the deck.

Dug the hole for foundation footings.

The dirt left over to haul away.

Cement poured...

Foundation built.

(Minor corrections to the initial pours)

Starting to change inside the house...

Michael's office was the first thing to be torn down on the inside. Had to move down the street to work.

The old office became the new Master Bathroom.

The hole cut from the master bedroom into the new master bathroom (old office).

Bath tub installed and initial plumbing in the new bathroom.

This is where the cat was removed from inside the drywall...

She wandered behind the new bath tub while the contractors were hanging the walls and decided not to come out before she was trapped.

We came home to meowing in the walls and had to cut a piece of the drywall out to retrieve her.

Trusses on the addition and a new roof for the entire house.

Living room starting to get packed up before we move out.

Master bedroom cleared out and the old window removed and filled.

First walls torn down in the old half of the house. It used to be Penelope's room, and will become part of kitchen/dining room.

Walls down and patched, old floors removed.

One of the best parts of the addition: The dog shower.

Starting the finish work. Trim/base boards, final plumbing and electric.

New master bathroom almost finished.
